Why become a Divine Word Missionary?
 

Divine Word Missionaries is the largest Ad Gentes missionary congregation in the world and it is the only congregation still growing among the top ten largest orders. With over 6000 priests and brother serving in more than 70 countries, the Divine Word Missionaries minister "first and foremost where the Gospel has not yet been preached at all or only insufficiently, and where the local church is not yet viable on its own" (SVD Constitutions).

Divine Word College is the only Roman Catholic college seminary in the U.S. whose primary mission is the education of its students for missionary service. It is an accredited liberal arts college which offers students the opportunity to earn their Bachelor Degree while participating in the seminary formation program to answer the question, "Is this what God is asking of me?" Students find it beneficial to participate in the academic and formation programs at the same time so they can continue to discern God's call in their lives.
